Stalls for the 2014 market are now fully subscribed.
See you all there!
The Brockley Cross Action Group is pleased to announce that it is once again hosting the annual Brockley Christmas Market! This year’s event will be held on Saturday 13th December and will run from 12.00am until 6.00pm in Coulgate Street next to Brockley Station. The street will be closed for the day.
This community event has been a big success over the last 7 years and we intend to make the 2014 Market another memorable event, with 50 stalls offering a wide range of arts & crafts and food stalls. The Brockley Christmas Market has established itself as a popular annual event that draws in the local community and brings Christmas cheer & festive fare to Brockley. Once again there will be live music, carol singing, a Christmas tree lighting ceremony & BXAG stalls selling mulled wine & mince pies!
DO YOU WANT TO HIRE A STALL? If you are interested in hiring a stall you can either download the MarketStallApplicationForm2014 by clicking on the link and printing off the Word form, email email@example.com or pick up a form from the Broca Café. Stalls cost £60 to hire for the day – that includes a 7ft long by 3ft deep covered stall & lighting, insurance, licences and stall hire. Please note we do not make a profit from the stall hire, we only charge enough to cover our stall costs. If you want a stall get your application in quickly – they are being snapped up!
DO YOU WANT TO PERFORM AT THE MARKET? We are looking for local musicians, bands and performing artists to entertain us on the day! We can pay you a modest performance fee but in return you get a lively audience, a chance to show Brockley your talent and the opportunity to add to the festive spirit! If you are interested get in touch!
The Brockley Christmas Market is organised by the BXAG, a community group and registered charity, and run by unpaid volunteers. The Market is run as an independent event and receives no financial support or subsidy from Lewisham Council.

Residents of the Brockley Ward will be voting for their new Councillors on Thursday 22nd May. To help you decide which Councillors to vote for The Brockley Cross Action Group has organised a Hustings event, which is to be held on the 15th May at the Brockley Social Club, Brockley Road, from 7.00pm onwards.
This will be your opportunity to meet the candidates and to ask them questions about the big issues that effect Brockley Ward residents. Come along and get involved in the political debate – all Brockley residents welcome! We have invited candidates from Labour, the Greens, Liberal Democrats, Conservatives, People before Profit, the Trade Union Coalition and UKIP.
Each candidate will be asked to introduce themselves and tell us what they would do for Brockley, and then the questions will begin – it should be a lively evening! The bar will be open during the event.
You’re invited to hear a talk by Edward Mayer on Swift Conservation on 1st April at St Peter’s Church, Wickham Road, Brockley.
From 7.30 til 8.30pm. All welcome!
